Aging population in Portugal

Em Portugal a taxa de fecundidade é 1,4, ficando abaixo do valor  de 2,1 para a substituição de gerações, segundo o relatório do Fundo de População das Nações Unidas (UNFPA). O relatório mostra que 23% dos portugueses têm mais de 65 anos e 38% estão na faixa etária dos zero aos 24 anos.

In Portugal the fertility rate is 1.4, below the value of 2.1 for the replacement of generations, according to the report of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The report shows that 23% of the Portuguese are over 65 years old and 38% are in the age group from zero to 24 years old.
